MATILDA'S FATHER SPEAKS HARSHLY TO HER IN THE SECOND FRAME.

I would feel so disappointed to such an extent that my only father has failed me since he does not want to buy me something so special of which I envy with all my being. The least the father could have said was to promise to buy it for her even though he knew deep down that he would not buy it instead of saying hurtful things to her. These hurtful words has turned her to do something so dangerous like crossing the street alone without any supervision of someone who is elderly that her when she  goes to the library to get books and read them and when she reads the books they lead her into the world of fantasy where she feel that she belongs to be at unlike this cruel world that she is living in but pity she did not know that out there, there were good people who will encourage her to do good instead of discouraging here every now and then and treating here like an outsider wherein she should be feeling at home.

Mr Wormwood said hurtful thing to her like mentioning the fact that Matilda is "getting spoiled" and through these hurtful comment unto her, he  meant to discourage here from reading the books that is why in the end she decided to go to the library and read books of which she wanted to read and this has put her into the world of child-adulthood like kind of situation because if had his father bought her the book that she wanted neither of this would have happened but no his father was determine that she watch television instead of reading books of which she hated with all her heart. 

His attitude on this frame two clearly shows that indeed that he does not at all support  and condone her gathering information from the books of which she reads and they will teach her the underworlds of which he himself had never been exposed to. Having my father saying I am getting spoiled whereas I am trying to read and get more knowledge about the experiences people had went through so that I can try to be a better person in the future is something else, it definitely show that he does not condone me being educated but instead watching the telly and be the kind of woman my mother is like focusing on my look and not read books. 

Most people who are being treated like Matilda will option for suicidal to avoid any more hurt but I am glad that this treatment did not even lead her to having suicidal thoughts of which most people would have thought about and end up doing it. Yes family sometimes treats you differently but this kind of constant treatment they are doing to her for so many years to me it would had not worked, I would have seek help a soon as possible.
